i enjoyed this one!! it had all the makings of a cute ya romance -- semi outlandish circumstances, lovable characters, and miscommunication and misunderstandings galore.
i think lee did a great job portraying the turbulent period between high school to college, and even beyond. the uncertainty and fear that tends to come with such a pivotal transition was spot on! i also liked that the characters were, to an extent, realistic. they were confused and somewhat chaotic, and really did come across as their actual age. i found jessica's tendency to overshare/ramble particularly accurate and endearing.
i would have liked to see some more growth from both of the characters, however, as i feel that neither of them ended up changing all that significantly. i also wasn't a huge fan of the conclusion, but it got the job done.
