A super adorable romance with lovable characters. I was rooting for Elijah and Jessica from their first run in at the airport and the build up of their sweet romance did not disappoint.
This book was so well written in the tone of these modern day college kids. It rang true from both sides with Jessica's feelings of being the 'poor kid' and Elijah feeling stifled from his rich Korean background. When the two of them switch places for the summer, you get to see Jessica grow into a competant leader and Elijah become more self aware. Together they realize how they are not so different - and the love story begins!
The only teeny tiny thing that bugged me was Jessica feeling like the 'poor kid' when her dad was ' a former finance officer at Google'. From where I come from, that is very upper class and not struggling, but I guess it's a different level in L.A. and New York City. Anyhow! I could still relate to the way Jessica felt about working her way through college to get to the top.
Loved it!
