Ok, let’s start with the things that I enjoyed about this. I will say that it was fun seeing Korean culture being the forefront of this story and how that differs from being Korean and born in the United States compared to being born and raised in South Korea, I did enjoy the nuisances and individualism that the aspect brought.
What I was not a big fan of was the lack of what felt like character development through the story. It felt like from beginning to end, Jessica and Elijah felt like the same exact characters they were when the story ended and I guess I wanted some my dynamics to them as our two main characters. Also, with it being marketed as a romance, it definitely lacked in that department and felt like an afterthought towards the end of the book. There weren’t many “scenes” with them together for me to buy into the romance they were suppose to have.
