The writing style is interesting and I felt like the story read smooth but there were small moments when the story faltered. It just wasn't as smooth as I expect a published work to be but I have read books that are much choppier. This is the kind of story teens will love though. As a teen I loved stories where the main character gets to go on a trip without her parents. It was like dreaming of getting away from my own and being free to do whatever I want. We all of course dream of that as teens as we prepare to leave the nest and usually discover we liked them paying for our meals and doing the bulk of the house cleaning. But either way teens will enjoy the story and living through the main character. the cover is really cute. The artist did a great job of adding personality to the character's faces. There is a sense of their relationship and I love that.
