I enjoyed The Name Drop. I learned a lot about Korean culture and the disparity between the wealthy and the not-wealthy classes, and the way women are treated. I liked the interactions between Emily & Elijah, and I really liked how Elijah’s sister Hee-Jin was trying to break through the glass ceiling her boorish father created. The hackathon was an interesting concept but I wish the Japanese team had won. And I wish Emily and Elijah had invited Mrs. Choi to the Hamilton play when they ended up with a spare ticket. I thought Elijah stepped up when he was put into the “wrong” intern group, and it allowed him to shine through his own hard work and to make true friends. And Emily was able to see how “the other half” lived and really excelled through her own perseverance. I liked how she turned down the scholarship too. I would rate this 3 1/2 stars.
