There’s something so delightfully addictive about Susan Lee's sophomore novel. I told myself I’d read a chapter or two before bed then had to forcibly convince myself to put it down and get some sleep about halfway through the book.

The Name Drop is a YA contemporary twist on the Prince and the Pauper with a little romance and a whole lot of K-drama vibes. It’s a light, quick read that had me flying through the chapters with the same abandon I might have when binging a new Asian drama. The plot doesn’t hold up super well under intense scrutiny, and the pacing and development definitely needs some work. Still, that didn't stop me from staying up late/waking up early to devour it.

If you’re looking for a fun summer read featuring Susan Lee's distinct brand of humor and a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this one’s for you 🫰🏼
