"The Name Drop" by Susan Lee is definitely off to a great start! The plot is imaginative, and the characters are interesting and realistic in their words and actions. I see this as a great novel to add to my classroom library.
One of the main characters, Jessica, is an only child of a middle-class family. She feels quite fortunate to have been accepted as one of the interns in one of the largest companies in South Korea. On the other hand, Elijah is also heading to New York as an intern with the same company. However, he happens to be the son of the owner of the company. He is not as enthusiastic about spending his summer working for his father's company. Will their chance encounter at the airport lead to a friendship, or something more? I'm looking forward to reading the remainder of this novel to find out!
