I've never heard of Susan Crandall before joining Bookishfirst. I'm so thankful I was able to receive an ARC of this book because now I want to read more of her books. I think I've found a new auto-buy author!
I may be weird saying this but I love reading books about troubled families and past secrets within said families. There's something so suspenseful about it.
A very good cast of characters is included within the book. They all have their very own personalities so I could easily tell who was who and keep them together in my head.
I also adore the 60s setting and the whole coming-of-age thing in a time where things are drastically changing definitely made the whole book for me.
Will be picking up her past books as soon as I get the chance. Truly a master storyteller.
