I could not put this book down! Amazing characters and a setting described so vividly I felt like I was there. I think this is the perfect summer read! Whether you are sitting by the ocean or at home on your porch. This is a must-read for 2018. Tallulah is a young girl living in Mississippi during the late 1950's. Her family has "issues" and Ms. Crandall welcomes us into their dysfunctional world. "The Myth of Perpetual Summer" is about surviving, family secrets, old secrets, and coming out better in the end. I had been in a bit of a reading slump and this book brought me out of that and left me wanting more. Several of the characters reminded me of family members that I have and it was easy to visualize what the characters would look like to me. I highly recommend this book!
