Haunting story with great characters
I was drawn to this book by several. favorable reviews, and I concur. It's great book. But, rather then rehashing the well-documented storyline, I thought I might recap just some endearing advice preferred by my favorite character ... Gran.
What Gran says:
- There's never an excuse for unkindness
- Keeping your eyes on the mountain you might have to climbs a good way to fall into a pit right. in front of you.
-When obstacles keep landing your way, it's God telling you you're on the wrong road.
- I've lived through enough to understand that making decisions in an emotional state does not yield positive results.
-A moment of empty silence always works in your favor. Don't be in a rush to speak.
-Hurt and anger make a strong person brave and a weak person broken.
-No good ever comes from listening to rumors.
