I enjoyed the tease. I like the way the author has blended historical fact with a fictional story. Kept me engaged and wanting more. The characters remind me of people I knew years ago; the setting of "the South" is not familiar but held my attention. The blend of mystery definitely kept me engaged and I wanted to be able to read more after I completed the introductory chapters.
The author appears to be familiar with the setting that the book has been written in and has created characters that are believable and realistic. The act of starting the story in the 1970's and then going back twenty years in time for a foundation helped to keep my attention and engage my interest. This is definitely a book I would like to read cover to cover
