I became a fan of Susan Crandall with her last novel, WHISTLING PAST THE GRAVEYARD. Her work is a prime example of how Southern Fiction should be written.

THE MYTH of PERPETUAL SUMMER is going to be a fantastic read. I loved how the book opened in present time, setting us up to start to understand Tulluliah and why going home to Louisiana is going to be more difficult than the simple fact her brother has been accused of murder - which has made national news.

Every sentence sets the scene perfectly, as though you are actually in-person watching the story play out.

The cover of the book grabbed my attention a few days ago, before I fully realized who the author is. It hints to the south, in a earlier time, and draws you in, wanting you to pick the book up and start reading.

I can't wait to read the rest of this book.
