The layers of mystery in just the first two chapters is intoxicating. I knew from this line in the prologue, "Perhaps our extraordinary bond comes from the strain of madness that runs in our blood" that intrigue was to follow. Something in childhood has traumatically impacted the main character and her siblings. This is hidden between every line and makes the reader want to dig down and discover. Complicated relationships are revealed on every page so far and I'm dying to read more.
