Intriguing Prologue
Historical fiction is one of my favorite genres to read. The prologue for The Myth of Perpetual Summer is moody and intriguing and is a great opener to the story. The first few chapters go back and forth in time, which isn't something I'm always a fan of. The cover and the premise make me think Southern Gothic, and this story seems a little dark for what I'm in the mood to read right now, but I might pick it up later on.
