Family drama and challenges - I loved it!
Firstly, the cover conveys some mystery and casual but not normal lifestyle. I loved the author’s writting style, it is simple but full of details.
I loved the New Orleans (and Mississipi) scenarios! They are places rich in culture, jazz, mystery and history. wonderful to explore and to read (know) more about. Also being back and forth in different times, it just makes me more excited about how things work.
I like very much the family drama. It is not easy to deal with, but you can never run away from. Instead, you embrace and turn in into a deeper bond.
Also, when death, betrayal and all this bad feelings happen, her self strenght and will moves her towards challenges and better choices.
I am excited to read this novel!
