What a beautiful written first chapter! I love the way Susan Crandall puts the thoughts of Tallulah into words, never seeming to use a cliché: ' Perhaps our extraordinary bond comes from the strain of madness that runs in our blood, the love and hate tangling until they're braided into an unbreakable rope, a lifeline and a noose.'
With just a few pages Tallulah turns out to be quite a character.
