The faceless person on the cover of THE MEADOWS makes you wonder what's going on in the book and would prompt me to pick it up in a store to read the synopsis. The premise sounded interesting but upon reading the First Impression, I just couldn't get invested in the story. The writing seemed good but I wasn't feeling like I had a strong urge to continue reading. While I definitely wouldn't buy this book at this time, I might borrow it from the library at some point to see if this is one that just takes a bit longer for me to get into. Even though I'm unsure if this is a book I'd ultimately like, I do think that it will be well-received by the right audience.
