The synopsis pulled me in. However reading the first impression, I was kind of bored. It was slow for me. I like The Handmaid's Tale. Not sure how I couldn't like this book. I don't really mind the sexual preference of the characters. So far from what I read they only kissed. There might be other readers out there who love this kind of book. It was just slow and truly I wanted to fall asleep.
