I was so excited to have the opportunity to read and review this first book in the new Daughters of the Mayflower series. I am expanding my horizons and trying to read more hostorical fiction. I love learning new things. Thank goodness for the glossary of terms, this is very helpful. The list of characters is very helpful, too. I know this series is going to be very popular. I can not imagine how touch it would be crossing over the ocean on a ship, let alone back then. So many hardships, loss, hunger, etc. love that it ends with questions left to be answered. Not something I would typically pick up but I am glad I took a chance on this one. Thanks bookishfirst for the free review copy. Great company.
