While the cover wouldn't necessarily pull me in on any other occasion, I'm glad that I got a chance to look at this first impression, because it's drawing me in to the rest of the story and I'm really excited to hear more now. I don't read a lot of historical fiction, but I loved the way the author started out by addressing the reader and telling us how she approached the history and incorporated her characters and story into the setting. I'm interested in seeing where they go from here and how their individual stories impact each other once they get to the New World.
