I love to read historical and historical fiction novels and this first look at The Mayflower Bride did not disappoint. I really enjoy the main characters so far, following Mary Elizabeth and her best friend Dorothy as they start out on their journey to the new world along with their families. Mary is anxious while Dorothy is excited for an adventure. I'm excited to see what happens next with the first look ending on the boat flooding with water and sinking.
