Hesitant.
Already the topic makes me feel hesitant. The Mayflower? I've only ever read one nonfiction book in my life that caught my interest, and I love early Colonial History. So I thought I'd still tried. Historical fiction helps build historic empathy. Yet the words felt as if they were dragging along. Not to mention, it felt repetitive. I felt like I read "Mary Elizabeth" over and over again. This is the type of book that may not personally be for me. I might wait and see what some friends say to provide insight for what happens beyond the sample provided.
