While I have always loved historical fiction, The Mayflower Bride seemed a little daunting the first few pages. There is a list of sea-faring terms, and a list of fictional as well as historical people in the book. I wasn't sure I could keep it all straight!
But then, I started the story. The author does a wonderful job of introducing the reader not only to the characters but also the historical significance of the journey they are undertaking. I am sure there is a lot of adventure to come and I can't wait to finish the story.
