Love the cover. I find this historical novel very interesting. We have been researching our ancestors and have immigrants on both sides. I am always interested in learning more about their journey.
I find it interesting that the perspective is from a girl who does not really want to travel to America. My great grandmother was made to marry a man she did not love (by her step father) and then during their wedding reception her step father and new husband went and bought passage to America, where she did not want to go. It worked out ok for her - she had 13 children - but that feeling never left her.
