This is the second middle grade book I have reviewed today and they are changing my mind about middle grade. I didn't even read middle grade when I was in middle school because it was always about the chosen one no matter which book I picked up. Now I am thinking I might want to give middle grade a chance. I do think it is funny that almost every middle grade book has three friends on the cover. Harry Potter was great and the trio works well but the covers should be varied. The presentation of the book is fabulous. I love all the pictures at the start. It makes it feel like a younger middle grade but thats okay because it is pretty and informative. The book itself is well written and I liked the characters. This is a book I would actively seek out to read after it is published. I enjoyed the author's previous ya series so I am not surprised that her writing again interested me.
