This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed reading. This is a young adult story that any young adult would enjoy. I enjoyed the author's attention to details that not only made the story pop but come to life on each page. I found this book to be well written and engaging. A story about Ella and a dangerous criminal that escapes from prison. Ella finds herself in a situation where she is determined to clear her family's name. She also needs to find her mentor before it's too late. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story from the start. The characters are connectable and kept the story engaging. Ella is my favorite, I enjoyed her determination. I also enjoyed watching the growth of the plot as well as the characters throughout the story. This is a fast paced story that was hard to put down. A magical story that I enjoyed beginning to end. I highly recommend this book.
