I loved this book so much! I’m so excited for the second one to come out because I NEED to know what happens next! I loved Ella as our main character. The beginning was a little slow but once it got going I was very invested with the story. I appreciate a diverse middle grade story and the aspect of it being a magical school in the sky will be very appealing to kids.
Jason was my favorite character. I think he was a great friend and I liked how he could talk to all the animals and had love and respect for them when nobody else did. It took me a minute to get with Brigit but after I did I loved her too. They were all such cute and fiercely loyal kids and they were great friends to Ella. I felt so bad for how people were treating Ella and how she was so determined to have a great time at school and everyone kept trying to knock her down and kick her out. I was so glad she had her support group as well as kids getting the message of acceptance and understanding that even though people are different than you they are still good people. I KNEW that all the action would be in the next book so I’m waiting for it!
