Unlike the traditional young adult hero story, this one appears to flip the genre on its head. This hero is determined to make sure she will pass all the exams/tests to become a Marveller. I understand there will be trying times, but that is expected. What I am interested in reading more about is how the family continues its support for Ella. They are helping her prepare. I love that.
