I am not always a huge fan of memoirs as I don't always stay interested enough to understand the message, but I really enjoyed the first look at this one. The writing style of the author was authentic and easy to follow and the storytelling was done in such a way that I was intrigued, but also felt like I was learning about a different culture and making connections. I really enjoyed this first look and look forward to reading more.
