When I read the synopsis of 'The Manicurist's Daughter' by Susan Lieu, I knew I would be interested in reading this book. As a healthcare professional, this type of story always intrigues me particularly if the story is told from the perspective of a family member who doesn't understand the healthcare system and/or know the full story of the victim of malpractice. Then there's always the story of the healthcare practitioner who messed up. The First Look further fueled my desire to know the whole story. I think the cover art on the book is fantastic. I would give this the book five stars based on what I've seen and read so far and I can't wait to know if my judgement is correct.
