I am not normally one for memoirs but I am definitely intrigued by the premise of the book. This is a tragedy I have never seen put into writing: the push for cosmetic procedures to reach unattainable beauty standards in Asian communities. I actually do want to know more about this and what this child went through losing her mother and piecing together what happened to make her mother do this.
