I was immediately drawn to “The Manicurist’s Daughter” by the cover - the neon-sign look is unique and incredibly appealing! Susan Lieu’s writing is immersive and compelling - I breezed through the First Look because I simply couldn’t stop reading! I’ve been gravitating toward fiction recently, but if the beginning of this book is any indication, “The Manicurist’s Daughter” might reignite my passion for memoirs! I can’t wait to read on and learn about what happened to Susan’s mother and how it affected her family. Something tells me I won’t be able to put “The Manicurist’s Daughter” down once I get going!
