I was hooked from the first few pages. I KNOW what this woman has been through... sort of. I've also spent 6 hours on an ER waiting room floor with an ovarian cyst that doctors brushed aside. I've also lost a parent (though not to circumstances that seemed so ridiculously preventable). I NEED to hear her full story.
I love the way the storytelling is straightforward with emotion, action, and humor all being perfectly balanced. She doesn't make herself out to be a saint; she is real. Yet at the same time, I'm rooting for her! I'll definitely be picking this one up to read in full whether or not I'm a winner.
