I don't know how I feel about this. She's proud of her mother, and she wants to know as much as she can about her. However, in this quest, she seems to blame her family, who are also grieving, in that they don't answer her questions about her late mother, and she doesn't understand why. She got her hair cut, and pleaded with her hairdresser not to get surgery, because of her mother. I hope by the end of this, she learns to let go of this borderline obsession. I'm sorry for that curt word but there's no appropriate substitute. When the author mentioned fearing a child because she didn't have a mother, my heart ached for her. I hope she finds peace, and things go well for her.

On another note, I love the cover. It's breathtaking.
