The cover for The Manicurist's Daughter is completely eye catching and seems to fit the story perfectly. Although I don not read a lot of memoirs, this one sounds particularly interesting. A daughter dealing with the grief of losing her mother, while simultaneously trying to figure out who her mother was, channels some heavy emotions. The author's tone is sincere and persistent. I look forward to being able to read more than just the first look.
