Look, I am iffy with memoirs in general, so color me surprised when the author managed to grab me from the very first page. She has a gift, clearly, for engaging the reader in the story, and I felt captivated by even her introduction, so I know that the whole story will tug on my heartstrings. This is one memoir I won't be missing!
