This is a creepy thriller set at Cambridge University interlacing with Greece. What got me interested from the first few pages is the fact that we know who committed the crime, the character just has to prove it. Mariana is very likable with a mild sense of humor and high protectiveness of those whom she loves, but things went dramatically wrong once she got to the University. There was no character development, which is common in thrillers but I felt that she was not as good of a professional; she refused to ask critical questions and approach this situation from a different angle. Even when it became clear who did what and why, she didn't want to let herself believe it.

The writing was a little repetitive, there was a lot of room to add poetic authentic language into the story but it was not done. The plot took an interesting twist, there were at least three characters whom I was suspecting and I did not realize what was happening until the very end. I highly appreciate the way all events were connected like a web of Greek Mythology.

Overall this was an amazing book, I just wish there was more writing uniqueness to it.
