First off I absolutely loved the setting of this book and all of the Greek culture! This book actually reminded me of Nancy Drew computer games, and I felt like I was leading the investigation as Mariana. This started off a little slower, but the super short chapters made it progress fairly quickly. The second half of the book I could not put down until I knew what was going on.
Also HUGE Easter egg in this book for The Silent Patient!! It has been almost 2 years since I read that, and now I must go back and reread it!! I had a sense of deja vu with the name and then had an aha moment as the story progressed.
I was shocked by the ending. And definitely felt like there were a lot of characters mentioned to throw the reader off. There were a few loose ends I didn't think were explained very well, but overall I really enjoyed this one!!
Since I didn't read the ending of this first like I have been known to do... I now want to reread this book to see if I pick up any clues I missed!
