I can't wait for this book to release so I can finish the story. So many questions intrigue me from the very first pages, from Sebastian's death to Henry's obsession. To start, the style rings with beautiful metaphors and intense emotion. I am already hooked on Mariana's voice and her struggles.
I found the middle chapter about Mariana's father a bit of a slog, but it definitely informed the next chapter with her group therapy and in particular with Mariana's reaction to Henry. I am intrigued to see where that relationship goes.
Though the physical descriptions of characters are sparse, the emotional development happens fast and smoothly, giving the reader a quick insight into even the secondary characters like Liz.
I can already tell this will be an emotional roller-coaster full of mystery, cryptic allusions, and thrills all presented in beautiful language.
