This book is part mystery, part psychological, part Greek lesson mostly set at a university in Cambridge. It grabs you straight away with claiming that this person is a murderer while the main character is still suffering through the death of her husband a year before the story is set. It makes you immediately start questioning "who is this person that is a murderer?" while also feeling empathy for the loss that Mariana is going through.

The classic whodunit in this book has twists and turns that I never saw coming where while I thought the murderer was one person, a piece of evidence would come to light where I would think it was a different person, but I ended up wrong on both accounts. Add in a psychological component, it made my imagination run wild and enter into real life.

There were definitely descriptions and pages in the book where I was like "what is the point in all this?" but it's all wrapped up at the end very nicely and makes complete sense. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to everyone!
