Let me start by saying this is a good book and I would most likely give it about 3.5 stars. I think the author is good at coming up with ideas and is a great writer, but sometimes gets a little bogged down.

First off, the characters. There are a lot of characters and a lot of those are not very likable. You would think this sets it up so that anyone could be a suspect, but we spent so much time with pointing at one single person (I know the point sorta, but still) that almost everyone else becomes unbelievable.

I need to understand and follow a thriller for it to be fantastic in my opinion. I need to have clues and to be able to get their on my own even if it’s likely that I wouldn’t. You can’t just throw out some MAJOR twist and be like “oh yeah believable right?” and have me love the book. That’s my personal preference in the thriller genre and where I find this author to go wrong. Like I love when you fool me, but I need to be kicking myself and being like “Oh gosh how did I miss that?” rather than “That’s out of the blue.”
