Enjoyable

This was a very good book. Unforatuely, I was not sucked into the book immediately, like I was with The Silent Patient. I think my expectations were a bit high and if they were not as high, I would have read the book faster than I did. I was able to put the book down and not be so interested that I had to pick it back up as soon as possible. It actually sat on my table for a few weeks between readings. Once I got two thirds of the way through the book, it picked up the pace for me and I finished it rather quickly at that time.

I was not very fond of Mariana as a character. I didn't hate her but I never really connected with her, which is probably why i was able to put the book down for so long while reading it.

I do recommend this to thriller lovers and I am sure if I would have enjoyed it more if I had not read The Silent Patient first. I did enjoy the book.
