Yikes. I am sorry to say that this book did not live up to all the hype. Without spoiling anything let’s just say that this book wasn’t surprising. If you pay attention and guess, you’ll probably figure it out.

Then there’s the matter of excitement...there is none. This book starts off completely unrelated to the story and never really gets anywhere. β€œThe maidens” are barely talked about and really not that important.

The only aspect of this book that I really enjoyed was the addition of Greek mythology, it was intertwined with the story well and I always enjoy a bit of Greek God knowledge.

Overall I was really disappointed with this book and had to force myself through it. There were so many scenes that were unnecessary to the plot and made the book feel all over the place.
