The Maidens follows a group therapist and her niece as a group of students start being murdered. What I enjoy about this authors writing is the short chapters and easy to disgust writing. It makes you want to continue to read on. I liked that there was a little sprinkle of a hint toward the silent patient too!
The plot was interesting to keep my attention. The professor in charge of the maidens felt very suss to me. I kept thinking there must be something wrong with him! I wish we had more time on the maidens. I felt like for this to be the title there should be more time spent with them to understand how they ended up in this cult to begin with.
The ending came out of NO WHERE I don’t understand the motivation of the bad guy. It seemed to be just another twist to wrap up the book. Not a fan of that. I also wanted to know more about Henry. He was a major problem at the beginning but I felt a little unsatisfied with his ending.
