A gripping psychological thriller. The beginning of the story grabs you and immerses you in a dark plot, all within the first twenty pages. The descriptive depictions of the main character makes you feel connected to her. I want to understand more about her loss and how it relates to her profession. The author's descriptions of the characters make me curious to the inner workings of their minds and what secrets lie there. The book is a fast read and keeps you on the edge of your seat. Just like the Silent Patient, expect a good amount of internal struggle related to the main character and moral choices. I expect the author has an intense twist for the end of this novel. Excited to read more. A solid four out of five stars this far. With a decent plot twist this book could absolutely be a five out of five stars. Would love to read more from this author.
