This book was one of my favorite books of the year. I have read the Silent Patient by him as well and this book lived up to my expectations. The twists in this book were totally shocking and it kept me on the edge of my seat all the way to the end of the book. This is a book that you will not want to put down. If you are looking for a dark academia thriller with lots of shocking twists you need to read this book.

With both of Alex Michaelides’ books I was always surprised with the twists and turns. This book goes into some dark themes and is focused on grief and loss and how it shapes us. This book has everything needed for an amazing psychological thriller that will keep you guessing till the very end. Alex Michaelides is becoming one of my favorite authors.
