Michaelides does it again!! I absolutely loved THE MAIDENS 5/5⭐️!
The novel follows Mariana as she visits her niece at Cambridge University following the murder of her nieces close friend. While she is on campus, various other murders of young women occurs, all members of a secret society called The Maidens, led by a professor of Greek Tragedy. Mariana becomes fixated on figuring out who is behind these murders. Will she figure them out before things go too far?
This book is such a page turner! I finished it in two sittings. Would’ve been one if I had more time! The layout makes it easy to read, and the investigation just leaves you wanting more after each new discovery. I am not too familiar with Greek mythology but everything is presented with enough information that I didn’t find this mattering. Michaelides keeps the reader guessing throughout the whole novel and even plants some big Silent Patient Easter eggs.
Highly recommend any one who enjoys suspense novels! Definitely looking forward to more work from this author.
