What an enticing prologue. I was drawn immediately to the book by the first few words. The beginning of any book is especially important, and sometimes decides if the reader will continue with the book or simply close the cover and move on. I would most assuredly continue on with this book
After reading The Silent Patient, I can already see the author’s attraction with Greek mythology. This time I will research his choices and try to apply them to the mystery. As an avid reader of mystery and thriller books, I pride myself on guessing the ending. I was completely surprised by the twist
ending in The Silent Patient, and hope that this book provides me with the same Agatha Christie - ish ending. The characters are immediately interesting and draw the reader into the plot. I was left with my mind twisting with possible endings I can’t wait to recommend it to my book club.
