Honestly, I didn't need to see more than the author's name to KNOW I HAVE TO read this book. His first book, The Silent Patient, was amazing, with a fabulous twist ending that I only vaguely saw coming. But even if his name wasn't on the cover, that image of the statue head with the eyes covered and the cracked-looking background would have caught my eye and made me eager to learn more.
The more I read about this story, the more interested I became. I love thrillers set in the academic world, and this book has it all....a seemingly untouchable suspected killer, a secret society, and an alumnus who is now a therapist, determined to prove her suspicious are correct.
I can't wait to read The Maidens, and hope I am lucky enough to be chosen as an early reader and reviewer.
