Vulnerability and dark undertones seep through the pages.

The first chapters introduce us to main character Mariana, deeply hurting after a personal loss. Meanwhile, as a group therapist, a disturbed male participant keeps asking to be with Mariana and admits to spying on her outside her house. The final moments of the preview sock you in the gut, leave readers with high tension and anticipation of what's about to be revealed. There are some great descriptions that amplify Mariana's mindset and how her world view as changed since her loss. Very well written. I am excited to read more from this author.
